Her first solo art exhibition was in 1943. At the same time, she was writing short stories and articles for publication. Tove Jansson was a Finnish-Swedish writer and artist. She first started painting Moomintrolls in the 1930s and her last Moomin book was published in 1977, but her stories live on and continue to be adapted and enjoyed by many generations.
