Linda Allen is a second generation American, all her grandparents having emigrated from Sweden. Some of her fondest memories are her grandmother's glowing tales of family life in Sweden. Linda has drawn upon her heritage as a source of inspiration for the illustrations that so charmingly show Swedish customs and scenes from a bygone age.
